China has been having some terrible weather, devastating actually. Water supplies have been interrupted, electricity lost, and many parts of the country is still experiencing terrible conditions. Alyssa's orphanage, which is in the Chongqing Municipality, within Sichuan Province is a poor and struggling orphanage as it is. They have requested emergency aid. Two of my two favorite China charities are:
I am happy to hear that if you make a donation to Half the Sky and request that the funds be sent to assist Xiushan (ali's orphanage), they will direct the donation to help them out.
I wish there was more I could do.........
I pray that her birth family is safe and warm.
I pray for all of the babies and children in the orphanage and that the workers are able to feed them and keep them warm.
The situation is just devastating.....let us hope that the brunt of the storms are over.
