Alyssa has been talking so much. Some of the things that she says just crack us up. We have a rule in our house that we share most everything. The only exception is when someone gets something new. It's only fair that the person with the new toy gets a chance to play with it for a while without having to share it. Fair right? The other day, Alyssa was playing with something that she got for Valentine's Day. Emily was doing her homework and she was moaning and groaning about how Alyssa NEVER shares anything and how unfair it was. I was explaining to her that she was playing with a new toy and she didn't have to share it. I went on to explain that Ali is trying really hard to learn the rules of sharing and it is hard for her sometimes. Emily stated, "that's because she is just a BABY!!" Alyssa, half listening to this conversation states, "I not baby, I big girl." I laughed and agreed with her, "yes honey, you are a big girl!"
A little while later,I was settling a little sibling spat. Emily gave Alyssa a raspberry (fresh, I know we addressed that lol), as she stomped out of the room. Alyssa hollered behind her, "Don't do dat, I just baby."
What a smart little cookie. A big girl when it suits her, but knows when it is in her best interests to be a baby too. SO FUNNY!!
