My poor girl...

My poor Emmy girl has been so sick with the virus. Thursday night we were hit with another snow storm that caused all of the schools to close on Friday. While I ordinarily love snow and LOVE snow days even more, we have used so many this school year, that my school is beginning to take days from our Spring break. This does not make me happy. So when I got the call at 5:30 in the morning that my school was closed, I wasn't as thrilled as I would normally be LOL. About 15 minutes later, it all hit the fan....literally. Not only did the snow come to town, so did the virus. With all its glory. My poor Emily was so sick. It was non-stop all day on Friday, all night friday night, and it is almost 9pm on Saturday and she is FINALLY resting comfortably. I hope she sleeps a bit tonight. I have a pharmacy full of meds here, nothing really working. Hopefully as the snow melts away the virus will leave too!

Come on Spring, I desperately need you.....even if I will be working instead of having a much needed Spring break!!!!

Hopefully my next post will be full of roses and sunshine....literally.....

Marry Poppins

Emily had our Mother-Daughter date and went to see Mary Poppins on Broadway. I got a very good price through the Girl Scouts, so a couple of other girls that she knew were there also. However, when asked if she wanted to go sit with them on the bus and at the show, Emily's reply was "oh no Mommy, this is our special day, I want to sit with you!!!" I love that kid! The seats were not that great, but the show was FANTASTIC!!!! I highly recommend it to anyone in the NYC area!!!

Happy Chinese New Year and Happy Valentine's Day!!

Today begins the start of the Chinese New Year! Gung Hay Fat Choy!! It is the year of the Tiger. I hope that this is a healthy and prosperous New Year for all of us!! We didn't do anything special this year..so far. We are going to a CNY party tomorrow, will celebrate a bit more during the week in Flushing and will have our CNY party with FCC in March! Today we had a lazy day playing (the girls) and cleaning (me). This is what the girls (all three of them) did while I cleaned....ah, such the life!!!

Snow Storm February 2010

Two days in a row that my school and Alyssa's school were closed due to weather. Emily had one snow day and a 2 hour delay, but we opted to keep her home to play in the snow!!! Yippee!!!! We had fun and so did BELLA!
