Alyssa had her first ever soccer practice yesterday. She has been asking to join a team for a long time and I have been putting it off. I figured we would start during the Spring season since it is shorter and she would get a taste of it to see if she really liked it. I am really not sure why she wanted to join...we don't even play it for fun around here. On the way to practice I said to her, "you know, there is a lot of running in soccer." "I know," she said. "You know, you can't use your hands in soccer." "I know," she said. "You know, you have to listen to your coaches on the field." "I know," she said.
And you know what.....SHE DID KNOW! I was really blown away with how well she did. The coach asked which team she was on last season. I really think she is a natural and I am not saying that because she's my kid LOL. SHE LOVED IT!!!
I may have to get used to sitting on a field every weekend....so not my thing. But, I will do anything to make my girl happy and to find her passion. It may be soccer, it may not. But we will keep trying until she finds it!
By the way, she continues to LOVE dance too. One tired Mama here, but loving every minute of it!!!
