Madi is an amazing traveler. We were up at 5:30am so that we could catch a quick breakfast and leave for the airport bright and early. We travelled to the airport (about 40 minutes) and then caught the 9:30am flight from Guangzhou to Hong Kong. She did great. She no longer gets car sick. Must have been the first few day of nerves and new experiences. Once we landed in Hong Kong we had about a 6 hour layover. She was happy and easily entertained. Cathy, one of the Moms in my group and her baby girl, Gracie were on all of the same flights so it was nice to have a travel companion. Both of the girls did great during the layover as long as the snacks kept coming. LOL. We boarded for the 15 hour flight from Hong Kong headed for NYC late afternoon. By that point both girls were exhausted as were the Moms. Madi slept for the first 90 minutes and then woke up as the first meal was being served. She ate a bit, played for a short while, we got up went for a walk and then went back to our seats. At that point she fell asleep and stayed asleep for about 10 hours. WOW, I was amazed. I actually woke her up so that she could eat a bit before we landed and I could change her. She did fantastic. The flight was very turbulent, but luckily she slept through it. We actually landed 30 minutes early.
