Happy New Year! It is the year of the Dragon. The girls all celebrated CNY with their classes and today I went in to do some activities with the Kindergarten and First Grade classes. It was the first year that I did not go into Emily's class and so she helped me with with Madi's class. We spoke about some of the traditions in China during CNY. Emily read a book and did a FANTASTIC job, stopping to add her own little facts about the different things in the book. She did a fabulous job! The children had a lot of fun and the highlight (of course) was the lion dance and fire works (bubble wrap). All three of my girls LOVE China and all of the traditions that we try to follow. I love that they are so excited about the traditional holidays and customs of thier birth country.
Our family before school activities!!
