The tooth fairy pays double....

What a trooper my Ali is. Just like her Mama, her adult teeth were growing in and the baby teeth didn't want to budge. This past Saturday she had two bottom teeth pulled. The first teeth for her to loose. I was so nervous for her. She was SO excited. Go figure. I think it kind of helped that her Nana told her that when you get your first teeth PULLED out, the tooth-fairy pays double. Thanks, Nana. Such a brave girl. After the procedure was over, the dental assistant was washing off the teeth to put in a cute little purple container. I knew it was trouble when she kept repeating..."OMG, I didn't do what I think I did....." She said it several times. I thought if I ignored her, she wouldn't confirm what I thought she did. It wasn't so bad, only one tooth was dropped down the drain. We still had one to put under the pillow. I thought the poor girl was going to hyperventilate. When I told her not to worry about it, that I had an older child, therefore I had "extras" at home, she looked at me with a puzzled expression. I was trying to make her feel better. Instead I just looked like a freak who saves her kids' teeth as they fall out. So, am I a freak? LOL. Am I the only one that does that? Not sure what I will do with them. Perhaps put them in the gorgeous "wedding boxes" I bought in China? Won't that be a wonderful wedding gift for them when they get married one day?

I've been wondering the same thing. I have all of Gram's baby teeth, save for the one he swallowed and the one he dropped down the drain. But yes, what the heck am I saving them for? It seems wrong to just toss them out, but still kind of creepy to hang on to them. Sigh.
