Crazy days of Summer

I have a TON of pictures, but I will have to upload them on another night. Sorry, I know that is really why you come here!! We have had a fantastic and busy summer!!! It all began with Emily's 7th birthday. She had a blast and received everything on her wish list....and more. Here are the rest of the highlights in bullets. I have so much to blog about but I am so shot at night. And for some reason it takes so long to upload photos....that I just don't. But I promise that I will in the next few days.

* we have spent many, many days at the beach, the town splash deck and having play dates.

* we had a great week at Culture Camp. Alyssa went this year too and loved it. It wasn't nearly as hot as it has been in years past. News 12 did a segment on it, which I missed :-(

* we went to North Carolina for a week to visit family. We had so much fun. Swimming and going on daily adventures. It was so great to see my family.

* we spent a week in Williamsburg, Virginia. IT WAS A FANTASTIC week. It was HOT HOT HOT, but we tried to keep cool by visiting water parks. Busch Gardens (or Wish Gardens as Ali called it), was very nice. We went several times. The favorite park was Water Country USA. Went there several times as well. The girls really liked Colonial Williamsburg. That kind of surprised me, but they (emily especially) loved hearing about the different homes, looking in the houses, watching how they cooked and played in the Colonial times. Lots of hands on activities for the kids. Lots of things that we didnt have time to do. A definite repeat vacation in that area is in order, but not in August. TOO HOT.

* we went bowling a few times. A first for both girls. Emily loves it and Ali tolerates it LOL.

* we did not do any therapies for Alyssa YEAH. We took the summer off and it was a much needed break for all of us! She is phenominal anyway :-)))

* I LOVED HAVING THE SUMMER OFF!!!

* Two more weeks left of summer break. We have a few playdates scheduled. Dentist appointmens, eye doctor appointments and the like and will hopefully squeeze in a few more days at the pool, beach and splash deck.

* The girls are excited to start 2nd grade and Pre-K. I am kind of looking forward to the new school year with all of the craziness of after school activities, but I LOVED BEING HOME WITH MY GIRLS THIS SUMMER. Hopefully I can do it again next year...we shall see.

Hopefully pictures in a few days. Thanks for stopping by.
