We are back....

I have been a bad blogger. Sometimes life just gets so crazy. We have had a busy Spring full of lots of fun things and some very sad moments as well.

A couple of weeks okay, we said good bye to "Pop." Pop was a very special person in our life and we will miss him so much. He was there for the homecoming of both of my girls and he was there for many special occasions and birthday parties. As many of you know, Alyssa wasn't all too happy for a very long time when she came home. She would breakdown when people looked at her, forget about anyone else holding her!! That was all different with Pop. She took to him instantaneously. She would let him hold her and talk to her and they would just walk around (or go on walks) and she just loved him!! He accompanied Emily to her very first "Dads for Donuts" event at Preschool and she was so excited that "my Pop is coming to MY school."

He may not have been my dad, but he sure was Pop to my girls. Our hearts go out to Lauren and Larry (Alyssa's God parents and my good friends) as they deal with this loss. We love you guys!!

In the midst of all of the sadness, we had a lot of other things going on.

Alyssa had her birthday party, which she LOVED!!! Emily had her first "Mother-Daughter Dance" with Girl Scouts. We had a surprise birthday party for my Mom. The girls attended their first Broadway show and last but not least, Alyssa had her first Dance Recital.

AND.....drum roll please......my house is pretty much completed with the renovations. Still a couple of more minor details to take care of and pictures to hang....and curtains too lol, but for the most part....D.O.N.E!!!!!
