Please Help Jackie

Many of you have heard me mention my friend Cyndi and her beautiful daughter, Jacqueline. Jackie is 5 years old and was diagnosed with Leukemia on Christmas Eve 2006. Jackie underwent extensive treatments and following a devastating relapse had a cord blood bone marrow transplant last Spring. She has had many set backs along the way and through it all always has a smile on her face.

Her mom is amazing. She is a single mom to her 3 beautiful daughters and has had to quit her job to take care of Jackie. Jackie still cannot go back to school due to her immune system being severely compromised. Cyndi and her girls are in a dire situation financially. She has had to carry Cobra for Jackie since Medicaid willnot cover out of state doctors and prescriptions. She went to the top hospital for the treatment that was suggested and this meant choosing an out os state hospital to save her child's life. In addition to medical benefits that she must carry, there is still rent, food, car insurance.....you get the point. Not to mention TWO other children that need to be cared for throughout this ordeal.

We all realize that in the current economy, EVERYONE is stretched financially. However, if you have anything to spare...even $1 would you consider helping Jackie maintain the medical coverage she so desperately needs?
