Culture Camp 2008

This week we are at "Culture Camp." It is a fabulous week! The camp is a for children who have been adopted as well as their siblings. Emily gets to go every day, all day and learn about her culture as well as other Asian Cultures. We are so lucky to live in a Community that has so many different events for our children that helps them learn about and feel proud about their birth culture. We know many of the other children who attend. One child is a own next door neighbor who is also adopted. Olivia was born in Vietnam. How fortunate are we to have neighbors with a child who is almost exactly the same age as Emily!!? They are very good friends and we have frequent playdates. Its nice to have a neighbor who truly "gets it." I look forward to many more years of creating memories for all of our children. A little friend who happened to be in Emily's Kindergarten class also attended this year. That was a nice surprise. Tomorrow (Friday) the children get will have a "show" and Mini Olympics for the parents. It should be lots of fun...with more pictures I am sure. Enjoy the photos.....
