Yesterday, we went to the Bronx Zoo. It was such a beautiful day. Hot actually!! The girls could have easily worn shorts, but they had capris on instead. WARNING for all. NEVER...GO...ON...A...Wednesday!! I kind of knew it may be a bad day to go since it is a "FREE" day. You do have to pay for all of the special exhibits such as the "butterfly" center, the "Conga Trail," and the Carousel, however it is FREE admittance. I have a Family pass so I can go ANYTIME and I am prepaid. Yesterday was SO CROWDED. It took a lot of the fun out of it. You barely got to see anything as there were schools and camps and many other RUDE people. It just annoys me when I am trying so hard to teach my children manners and to be respectful and there are SO MANY parents out there that are teaching their children the exact opposite. I never saw so many rude children AND adults in my life. We will be going back often, but NEVER on a Wednesday again.
Today we went to the beach. It was so nice out that all we needed were some shorts and a couple of pails and shovels and we were set to go. The girls had a ball running in the sand and digging in the sand. I just LOVE the beach and I am happy that my girls do too. I am looking forward to a great spring and summer with the girls. We are finally at a stage where I can actually sit and enjoy them rather than tailing Alyssa like she is about to fall off of the deep end. GO DAYS AHEAD!!!!

Oh yeah- Wednesday is free day- it sucks- don't ever do it!!!
I think it's also the time of year. We were there on the 17th, a Thursday, with Gram's school. Nightmare. So. Many. Kids.
