Emily's teacher has many creative activities that she has the children do throughout the year. This weekend it was Emily's turn to bring Walter and Gizmo home. She had to write in a journal all of the things that they did and take pictures or draw pictures of the events. Walter went with us everywhere. He was sure to "buckle up for safety," he played with Emily's high frequency words with her, he had a pajama party with Hannah, Alyssa and Emily and he also ate dinner with us, helped us clean the playroom and lots of other fun things. Emily enjoyed the activity and enjoyed writing about what they did together. I love that Emily likes to "write" stories. I hope that her love of reading and writing continues.
